Hi Everyone,

It’s Steve and I have an important mission for us all to accomplish.  We have submitted petition and a Proposal to start a biking trail at the Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park.  Click on the link at the top of the page take a few seconds to sign our petition.  This will be a great addition to our community,  it will generate revenue to our area as well as providing a fun safe environment to ride our bicycles or just take a walk in nature for those who choose to walk it.  This is the only park in Monroe county that has been almost shut down twice.  We can’t let this happen, as there is a lot of history and good potential for biking/hiking.

We have made it a weekly ritual here at All Keys Cycles to go to a mountain bike park once a week, usually on Sundays.  There are 4 MTB Parks within 1.5 hrs of Key Largo, FL.  So far we have tried three of them.

  • Amelia Earhardt Park in N. Hialeah is probably our most frequented park it is a nice trail about 6 miles long with alot of steep climbs.  not very technical and good for riders of all skill levels.
  • Markham Park in Sunrise, FL is a bit longer of a track and is very technical and a better than average skill level is required to ride here.  Alot of switchbacks and steep descents with big drops.  The Advanced trail really is for advanced riders.
  • Oleta River Park is in N. Miami Beach and is probably one of my favorites so far.  This park has lots of trails under tree cover, steep short climbs with fast descents.  There are alot of roots and rocks so knobby tires are a must.  Multiple lines to choose from and is a very fun park to ride.
  • Virginia Key is in Key biscayne this park will be under our belts after this weekend.  Last park to try out of our local parks.  I will keep you posted on trail conditions.

This is a little project bike for the shop, an attention grabber that sort of thing.  I have to admit it does work.  Everyone that walks through the door says something about it.  This is an all black Seabreeze model from our Phat cycles line and we installed 32″ inch tall handle bars.  Then we put a springer fork and BAM instant eye catcher and it’s fun to ride Come to the shop for a test ride.
